Privacy policy

The short version: this site collects only what you type into the waitlist form. We use it to tell you when your exam's app launches. We don't sell it, we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
Studiko ("we", "us") makes Duolingo-style prep apps for exams such as the LSAT, MCAT, GRE, NCLEX-RN, GMAT and DAT. This policy covers the website at studiko.app and its waitlist. The Studiko apps will have their own privacy policy when they launch.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your email address
- the exams you picked
- when your test is, if you chose to tell us
- the date and time you signed up
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to run and secure the site and is kept for a short time.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. Our fonts are served from our own site, so no third party learns that you visited.
How we use it
- To email you when the Studiko app for your exam launches, and with occasional updates about that launch.
- To understand which exams people want first, counted in aggregate.
- To keep the waitlist free of spam and abuse.
We rely on your consent to email you. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process it for us under contract:
- Supabase, which stores the waitlist (servers in the United States)
- Vercel, which hosts this website
- an email delivery provider, when we send launch emails
We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our users and service.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist entry until the apps you picked have launched and for up to 12 months after, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Then we delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing privacy@studiko.app from the address you signed up with. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or California's CCPA; we honor these requests for everyone.
Children
This site is for people preparing for graduate, professional and licensing exams. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined the waitlist, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
The waitlist can only be added to from this site; it can't be read or changed publicly. Access to the stored list is limited to the Studiko team.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
